Mike has over 50 years of experience in technology businesses. He helps create growth strategies and business and marketing plans for global high tech companies, and encourages innovation and technology acceleration in the supply chain. Besides running his own consultancy he has served in various capacities on the boards of Delta Electronics Europe, CamFPD, Mesophotonics, Dezineforce, Ethersec and X-System.
Mike is currently CEO of X-System, an R and D company exploiting the Innate Neurophysiological Response to Music, and developer of XSEPT, a novel therapy for epilepsy and PTSD.
Mike is a Chartered Engineer, an Approved Professional Assessor and a Fellow of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
He spent 14 years in the UK, and 8 years living and working in Taiwan with Mullard, then Royal Dutch Philips. Following this he was appointed an Executive Vice President, working at their Amsterdam HQ.
On leaving Philips in 2001 Mike set up his own consultancy, and:
• Managed Delta Electronics Europe
• Served as NED for CamFPD, a display research company sold to Microsoft
• Helped develop Dell’s XPS Adamo – a multi-award winning design and the thinnest notebook ever.
• Raised mixed angel, government and VC finance for, and helped grow, restructure, and sell various technology start-ups
• Set up various Asian and European subsidiaries, JVs and agents.
• Worked with Accelerator India as a resident business builder.
• Provided leading edge solutions, business strategies and market initiatives for Delta, Lite On, Mesophotonics and New Edge, and sourced IP opportunities for Inpro Licensing.
Mike is married with two daughters, and enjoys playing golf.
