November 20th – lunch
November 20 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Film & book presentation by Loes Gompes and Aniita Mizrahi:
Loes Gompes’ book “De Vlucht Wordt Duur Betaald” describes how two families, one her own, fled from the Nazis via France to Lisbon. Ultimately, one family reached Jamaica, the other in the Dutch East Indies. She paints a dark picture of the role of the Dutch Government in London. The book inspired documentary film director Aniita Mizrahi to make a short documentary, “Lisbon, Harbour of Freedom” about their stay in Lisbon (English subtitles).
The documentary will be shown before lunch (25 min), followed by a short interview with Loes and Aniita before the main course.
