Join long-time CADS member John Cameron-Webb, former British Consul Amsterdam, on one of his fascinating tours round the battlefields of World War I!
On the weekend of 17 – 18 November he’ll take us on a guided tour of the Ypres Salient.
The weekend tour looks at the 4 main battles in and around the Ypres Salient between 1914 and 1918. Visits will be made to important museums, original WW1 trenches and battleground, Commonwealth War Graves cemeteries and impressive monuments. The tour will focus on the life of the Tommy in the trenches and look at how the BEF developed its ability to wage war leading up to victory and armistice in 1918. The tour will also include participation in the Daily Act of Remembrance at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing on the Saturday evening.
