During the past month the technical Brexit negotiation has been proceeding at pace, although politically the process is deadlocked. The House of Commons library has produced a summary of the current position for MPs and members of the public, and the document can be downloaded below.
Also during September there was a significant briefing held by the NBCC, urging all firms doing business between the UK and NL to ensure they are prepared for Brexit. What is already clear is that in almost every scenario, from March 2019 onward additional impex paperwork will be needed between the two jurisdictions, as the UK will be considered a third country.
