Yesterday afternoon, the Amsterdam court ruled in our favour on our Brexit case. You can read the transcript below, and there is also a rough English translation.

In brief, we won!!!

However, this is only the first step. What we won was the right to ask the European Court of Justice to rule on whether UK citizens residing in the EU have acquired rights to live and work as European citizens that continue after Brexit.

Over the next week, our lawyers will work together with Judge Bakels to finalise the questions that will be put to the European Court of Justice. We hope and pray that the Court will then rule on them.

With good fortune, we will know the outcome before the Brexit date of 29th March 2019.

Do we maintain our existing rights to live and work in the EU next year, or do we lose them?

Read the ruling here.

And the English translation is here.
