In December, a weekend with the new Tesla Model S executive saloon was auctioned to Jan Derwort. This revolutionary car runs solely on batteries, and has breathtaking performance, with 100km coming up in under 4 seconds and a top speed of 240km/hr. The proceeds amounted to 500 Euros, which coincided with the amount we voted to give to the Doorn Emergency Fund for Dutch Veterans. Jan presented the money to our speaker Dr Jos Weerts, and then received the keys for the new car from Davide Ghione, Tesla’s European fleet sales manager.
