Earlier this year, CADS board member Sue Bennion was taken from us by particularly cruel pancreatic and liver cancers. Sue had been a staunch supporter of many charities, including Hulphond which trains helper dogs to enable disabled people to live more independent lives. Hulphond decided to name one of their new puppies after Sue, and CADS has donated 1,000 Euros towards her training. Peter van der Linden, Sue’s widower, accepted the donation on behalf of Hulphond.P1070672

And here is a picture of Sue… Big boots to fill, but she is up for it!

CADS board member Craig Welsh ran in the Spectrum team of the Alpes Maritime Relay Marathon two weeks ago to raise funds for GiveWatts, a charity which helps Kenyan and Ugandan children to study in the evening by distributing solar PV rechargeable lamps via local schools.

These lamps enable a healthier and lower running cost solution than traditional kerosene lamps. Well done Craig!P1070664
