Everest & Beyond: Meet Everest climber Stephen Venables

Stephen Venables was the first Briton to climb Everest without supplementary oxygen. The stories of his travels have enthralled audiences all over the world and The British School in The Netherlands is pleased to welcome him on Thursday, 2 February from 19:00 – 21:00 at the Senior School.

Stephen Venables is a mountaineer, writer, broadcaster and public speaker. Everest was a thrilling highlight in a career which has taken him right through the Himalaya, from Afghanistan to Tibet, making first ascents of many previously unknown mountains. His adventures have also taken him to the Rockies, the Andes, the Antarctic island South Georgia, East Africa, South Africa and of course the European Alps, where he has climbed and skied for over forty years.

Parents and friends of the BSN have the opportunity to join the BSN to hear Stephen speak about his experiences!
Tickets are €5 and are available from all School Offices. The ticket price includes refreshments during the evening.
